We came in feb 2017 two family vacation. Pictures don't do this place justice and it was stocked with everything we needed. The kayaks were so fun! The house was decorated beautifully and our hosts were available anytime we needed them. We will be back!!

We loved staying at the Stonecrest Lodge. It sits on a point overlooking Lake Chatuge, with magnificent views. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy- a large deck, three fire pits and a path down to the water and dock. The interior is beautifully decorated as a mountain get-away. There was plenty of room for our extended family to enjoy. The owner always answered my questions quickly, and made it easy to settle in. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend the Stonecrest Lodge to anyone.

This place was great for our little reunion get together. We were thinking of how to get more extended family (more kids) for another go of it during summer to take advantage of the very nice lake access. Always great communication with Kristina, thank you.

This is a great property for a weekend getaway with friends, and or a Family Staycation. The scenery was beautiful, and the Log Home was beautiful and unique in its entirety. The people around the property and in the city were nice and welcoming. The fish were great and kept biting(we threw them back), and the water was perfect for kayaking.(My FAVORITE) The owner provided us with exceptional service throughout the purchase experience, and the stay as well. I have and will continue to recommend this property to anyone who is asking. I tell them all, please take care of the property because we plan on going back again and again.

First, I would like to commend the owners (especially Kristina) for being very attentive in answering all questions and providing information and accommodations that made our stay even BETTER! (If that could be possible in this beautiful home.)

Here's the backdrop - My wife and I honeymooned in Murphy, NC at my Grandfather's cabin. We decided, at the last minute, to search for cabins available in the area. And...up popped this BEAUTIFUL home. As there was plenty of room, we invited our kids to invite a friend, and we then invited the parents of one of the friends to join us on Lake Chatuge. Upon arriving, our one friend (whose parents used to have a cabin between Clayton, GA and Hiawassee, GA) stated, "We used to drive over the bridge for the past 10 years, or more, and we would look up and see that home and think, 'Wow! I wonder who lives in that amazing place!' Now, here we are!!!"

We enjoyed fires in the fire pits, grilling out for dinner, kayaking every day, and simply relaxing with friends and family as we would gaze at the beauty of the hills and the lake. We drove a short distance, and hiked the trail down to two wonderful waterfalls (High Shoals). We drove to Helen, GA (My wife and I visited Helen back in the 90's, on our honeymoon.) Personally, I felt like Helen has lost a little of it's luster. I don't think I would make that trek again, I am sorry to say. We also took our sons out to golf in the area, and we took them to the county fair grounds to play some basketball. It was all a lot of fun.

One recommendation, for those staying or for the owners, was that the stone seating was a bit far from the fire pits. The depth of the pits, and the distance from them, made it difficult to enjoy the warmth of the fire. So, we carried chairs down from the six top, outdoor table, and got a bit closer. We recommend that you do the same.

Finally, we hope to go back sometime soon! In fact, upon arriving home, we looked to see if the home was available in July. We usually vacation in July at the beach, but we thought it would be incredible to return to this restorative place and enjoy a summer vacation in the mountains instead! Unfortunately, the home is not available in the summer months. :(

Completely understandable!

In summary - tell your friends, tell your family, tell yourself...RENT THIS HOME! You will not regret it for one second.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the stonecrest lodge. What a beautiful home with exceptional decor and amenities throughout! It has great panoramic views of the lake and mountains, which we absolutely love! We really enjoyed taking in the scenery and relaxing as well doing some fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding to. We all loved this place and look forward to visiting that area again sometime.

Such a cozy place with all the comforts of home. Loved our stay here by the lake with the mountains as a backdrop!!! Simply gorgeous and the owners are so helpful and pleasant. We will be coming back.

With Christmas becoming harder for our growing family to meet, summer is the next best option. We had anniversaries, graduations, early retirements and birthdays to celebrate, and this was the absolute best place to have a big weekend with the family. The house is impeccable! I've never seen this many 5 star reviews on a property, but I now know why it was perfect. Kitchen was big enough for all of our family meals, and we had plenty of space for all of us! My nephews said it was like staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! The location was perfect for our white water adventures, boating, and our trip for my daughters to see the Cabbage Patch Doll Hospital. If you are looking for a worry-free place for your family and incredible customer service, this is your spot!

Although the weather did not cooperate most of our stay, the property was amazing & exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this property & hope to use it again in the future. It was a huge bonus having access to the kayaks & paddle board. The owners didn't miss a thing when it comes to amenities!

This home exceeded all of our expectations! The home's location was extraordinary with views from every window, door, and deck. The mountains, the lake, and the well manicured yard were beyond beautiful. The interior was as outstanding as the location. The wood beams and unique architectural features add so much interest to the overall design. We had plenty of room to spread out or come together in the 5 bedrooms and two living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs garage entrance was great for all the wet children coming in from the lake with a washer and dryer right there for towels. There is also a refrigerator there for drinks without having to come in the house. (Another washer and dryer inside also! )We took a deck boat, skis and tubes but 3 kayaks and a paddle board were also provided by Kristina.(So nice) We all, from the 70 year old to the 3 year old, had a blast. Everyone is already talking about next year at Stonecrest Lodge! P.S. There are lots of other things to do in and around Hiwassee but everyone loved this place so much we never left except for a side trip to Brasstown Bald Mountain on the way home.

Stonecrest Lodge is a wonderfully appointed luxury log home ranging from ample parking (including use of a double car garage - first ever for me) to provided watercraft and everything in between. The interior design/appointments and exterior landscaping are high end and impressive. Our extended family, though reduced in size this year, has vacationed at Lake Chatuge for the past 10 years. Stonecrest exceeded in every way what other properties had provided. It is totally a 21st century facility with high speed Wi-Fi, multiple air conditioning units, instant hot water, and many other modern innovations. You will be impressed! I would highly recommend this property for any season of the year. The owners make it very clear in the rental agreement that they are only a text message, email, or phone call away if there are questions/issues about anything. To me that was very important - no 3rd party.

The Lodge is located on a relatively quiet part of Lake Chatuge on a cul-de-sac. We noticed very little vehicle traffic in the quiet neighborhood and about the same for boat traffic.

The house is even better than the pictures show. Gardens outfront are amazing with all the blooming flowers in July. Everything was clean and in order when we arrived. The house came with some essentials such as cooking oils, seasoning/spices and coffee, which was very nice. The house is huge and worked out great for having 3 couples and 2 kids, each family had their own floor. There is also a large family room in the lower level. The location is ideal, right on a beautiful lake with a dock. It even has kayaks and paddle board with good life vests. A full service grocery store, Ingles, is just 5 minutes away. Kristina was fantastic to work with and we received our security deposit back in a week. We rented our boat from Boundry Waters Marina and they were great too.

We would highly recommend this house as it made for an excellent setting for us to enjoy our grown children and their families.
